rural resident & elder scholarship application - arctic encounter 2025
Are you an elder or rural resident with a financial barrier to attending this year’s Arctic Encounter? Apply for our flagship scholarship program.
Offered annually, this scholarship is designed to increase diversity and access at our flagship event. It is open to residents of communities deemed rural by the Federal Subsistence Board and individuals aged 65 or older. Applications for the Rural Resident & Elder Scholarship will be reviewed immediately and acceptances will be sent on a rolling basis. We encourage any applicants interested to submit an application as soon as possible to be considered and receive timely notification.
Scholarship recipients will receive full coverage for registration, which includes access to all plenary sessions, breakout sessions, breakfast each day, seated luncheons each day, the Far North Fashion Show, and the Arctic Encounter Showcase.
Please note that this scholarship does not cover flights or lodging in Anchorage.
